ʼa- (thematic) + ∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -∅- (classifier) + -níí (neuter imperfective stem of root -NÍÍD, “to be true”).

- tʼáá aaníí ádíshní ― Iʼm telling the truth
- (in the negative only) he/she is not pleased by it, he/she doesnʼt like it.
- doo shił aaníi da ― I donʼt like it
- doo shił áánííd da ― I didnʼt like it
